Job Description

The primary responsibility will be to produce high-quality training videos and supporting documentation that effectively communicates our facility’s various processes, procedures, and best practices. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and training coordinators to develop engaging video content that enhances the training experience for our employees. This role requires strong video production skills, creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for training and development. Additionally, as needed supporting the plant training teams with miscellaneous training development such as documentation, learning management system tasks, etc.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and training coordinators to identify training needs and objectives.
  • Coordinate and schedule video shoots, ensuring all necessary resources and personnel are available.
  • Collaborate with the training team to continuously improve training materials and methods.
  • Maintain and organized a library of training videos, ensuring easy access and version control.
  • Develop video concepts and storyboards that effectively convey training content and objectives.
  • Ensure the videos adhere to established branding guidelines and maintain a consistent visual style.
  • Assigned admin work in HCM, such as learning plan entries, training completion entries, training others to work in HCM,
  • Assist with the creation of technical documentation that supports the video training.
  • Assist in the implementation and delivery of training programs when needed.

Qualifications

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your supervisor, as dictated by business necessity.

  • Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, Education or Organizational Development strongly preferred.
  • Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
  • Proficient with professional video editing software required. 5 years’ experience in a technical manufacturing or in an industrial maintenance environment preferred.

  • Food Manufacturing Processes: A solid understanding of food manufacturing operations, including food safety protocols, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in video production techniques, including scriptwriting, storyboarding, filming, lighting, sound recording, and editing.
  • Familiarity with instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create engaging and effective training videos.
  • Knowledge of video editing software (e.g., Kapwing, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro), graphics software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator), and audio editing tools.
  • Ability to handle all aspects of video production, including scriptwriting, storyboarding, setting up shots, operating cameras and audio equipment, managing lighting, and conducting interviews.
  • Proficiency in video editing software to assemble recorded footage, add visual effects, insert graphics and animations, adjust sound levels, and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Basic graphic design skills to create visually appealing titles, labels, and annotations for training videos.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in video content, including proper labeling, identification of equipment, and compliance with food safety protocols.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple video projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative ideas to convey complex concepts engagingly and understandably effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with subject matter experts, trainers, and employees to gather information and ensure accurate content representation.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, new technologies, and emerging trends in video production and training methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address potential challenges during video production, such as equipment malfunctions or inadequate lighting conditions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team, including trainers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders, to ensure the training videos meet their objectives.
