Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain employee training and reference materials in our content management system
  • Develop and implement evaluation methods that identify and measure knowledge retention and training impact
  • Regularly review and update existing course content based on quality reviews and feedback from leadership, learners, course content surveys
  • Conduct training needs analysis for new training requests
  • Develop competency-based instructional models to address development needs
  • Collaborate effectively cross-functionally through diverse avenues with SMEs, management, team members, quality assurance, and staff

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Education, Instructional Design, or Psychology preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience designing and developing training and corresponding evaluation and/or adult learning content and corresponding assessment
  • Experience applying distance-learning and adult-learning principles
  • Experience in course and curriculum development
  • Experience using learning technologies and e-learning development tools; (e.g., Lectora, Captivate, Articulate Rise/Storyline, Camtasia); virtual facilitation tools (e.g., WebEx, Zoom); content management systems; and learning management systems
  • Experience using ADDIE and/or SAM learning model

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM system
  • Experience with SharePoint, Confluence, and Talent LMS
  • Experience using e-learning strategically across the business to support development strategies and strengthen organizational capabilities

Special Requirements

Ability to travel as required for the position. Travel should not exceed 25%.

The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Pay Range: $54,800.00 – $82,200.00
