Position Focus
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Learning and Development Operations, the Learning and Development Training Specialist provides training expertise to recommend strategy, program coordination, design, logistics management and support for Yale University’s Federated Learning Model, which includes support for Central Learning and Development in Human Resources. This individual implements the training strategy, creates plans, outlines and materials to deliver training that supports Central Learning & Development. They understand institutional needs, the impacts of projects and executes tasks to deliver effective training/learning for Yale University. They may conduct research on professional and academic organizations to identify training and development best practices for program development. And therefore, will analyze data and provide recommendations for future actions.
Essential Duties
Required Education And Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organization Development, or related field and a minimum of four years of related experience.
Required Skill/Ability 1
Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
Required Skill/Ability 2
Knowledge and experience utilizing Software such as Captivate or Articulate to produce digital training materials in general as well as SCORM files of eLearning content.
Required Skill/Ability 3
Expertise in developing and creating digital content.
Required Skill/Ability 4
Demonstrated ability working with SMEs (subject matter experts) to create training materials for a diverse audience.
Required Skill/Ability 5
Extensive experience with all Microsoft Office, Teams and Online Learning platforms. Knowledge and experience utilizing Workday Learning Preferred or related Learning Management Software.
