Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated, highly-organized, detail-oriented Training Specialist. In this role, you will gain valuable exposure to many areas of TikTok, will work with people of all levels, collaborate on projects, and be a champion for positive change.

As a Training Specialist, you will become an expert in user safety queries and work to support the Global Safety Support team through quality assessments, continuous improvement initiatives and much more. You will be part of a global team, assessing whether our policies and processes are effectively implemented. You will also create training materials and lead training sessions to ensure the team stays up to date on the latest policies and processes.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.

This may occur in the form of images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct training and assessments across the Global Safety Support team encompassing complex policies, processes and regional laws/regulations.
  • Design, prepare and deliver training and assessments on policies, processes and operational guidelines
  • Track/flag trends and patterns within assessments and cascade back to relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinating onboarding schedules and providing shadowing / Q&A sessions
  • Stay up to date on key workflow changes, operational guidelines, policy updates and intellectual property regulations
  • Monitor training quality assurance related metrics with data statistics and analysis
  • Collaborate closely with GSS stakeholders
  • Provide constructive feedback to team members regarding quality of work highlighting any identified risks and/or improvement opportunities
  • Evaluate training solutions for quality, business impact and scalability
  • Collect feedback, results and performance data after training sessions
  • Assist with the development and support of a Learning Management System and other scalable learning solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in training, quality assurance, and/or continuous improvement
  • Ability to analyze information to identify trends and/or risks
  • Strong communication, training and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to make important decisions independently and multi-task under pressure, responding quickly to changing situations in complex environments without compromising quality of work
  • Experience solving problems and providing practical business insights or reporting critical information
  • Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.

Preferred Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Previous experience of Trust and Safety.
  • Experience working cross functionally with a variety of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

【For Pay Transparency】 Compensation Description (Hourly)

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $30.26- $37.61.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
