What You Will Do

Trane Arizona is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Training & Development Specialist to join our team. This person will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for both our customers and employees. The training program will focus on Trane Building Automation Systems including Tracer Ensemble and Synchrony but could cover a diverse range of HVAC, Electrical and troubleshooting knowledge. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of HVAC systems, building automation control systems, network architecture as it relates to these systems, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching. Once in position this person will work closely with our customers to identify training needs and develop tailored solutions for their business as well as collaborate with our internal leaders to develop training programs to fit Trane’s employee needs. This individual will also work with Trane’s marketing team to develop marketing materials and sales brochures. They will attend necessary meetings to promote the training program and meet with customers to promote the training program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Training Programs:
  • Design hands-on workshops, presentations, and e-learning modules to enhance knowledge retention.
  • Create and maintain training materials, manuals, and instructional guides.
  • Assess trainees’ knowledge and skills before and after training sessions to ensure competency.
  • Design and implement training classes, materials and schedules to meet the needs of our customers and employees.
  • Create and update training materials, manuals, and resources to ensure they are current and effective.
  • Promote these programs with dedicated marketing and customer visits
  • Provide on-site and virtual training as needed.
  • Trane BAS Expertise:
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of Trane Tracer systems, including Ensemble and Synchrony.
  • Stay current on the newest applications and updates Trane offers.
  • Attend internal workshops and update meetings.
  • Technical Training:
  • Train internal and external customers on Trane BAS frontend operations including Trane Utility, Ensemble and Synchrony
  • Train technicians on IT Networks as related to building automation systems.
  • Develop and deliver HVAC troubleshooting classes, covering basic refrigeration and electrical concepts.
  • Maintain ability to provide training as program offerings grow and new classes are developed
  • Customer Collaboration:
  • Work with customers to identify training gaps in their business operations.
  • Develop and implement customized training solutions to address these gaps.
  • Do site visits to promote training programs
  • Maintain database of customers who have attended and plan to attend trainings.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in HVAC controls and building automation not limited to Trane Systems
  • Continuously improve training programs based on feedback and evolving needs.
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure technicians receive proper and timely training.
  • Work with leaders to create metrics that can be tracked.
  • Provide regular updates on training progress and effectiveness.
  • Join meetings to discuss training programs and provide marketing materials to promote training programs.

What You Will Bring

  • Proven experience in Technical Training.
  • Strong instructional design and training delivery skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Electrical, HVAC and Building Automation Systems strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with customers, technicians, and business leaders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stay current with industry trends and new technologies.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in developing and delivering technical training programs.
  • Ability to adapt training methods to different learning styles and needs.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical topics for various audiences.
  • Proficiency with training tools, instructional design, and multimedia content development.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Prior Experience with Trane BAS products including Tracer Ensemble and Synchrony.
  • Good understanding of IT systems as related to the BAS field.
  • Relevant certifications or training in HVAC, building automation, or related fields.

Working Conditions

  • This position may require travel to customer sites and other company locations.
  • Flexibility in working hours to accommodate training schedules.
  • May be required to climb ladders to access rooftop and lift 25lb or more.

Compensation

Base Pay Range: $90,000-125,000 / yr.

Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
