What You Will Achieve

An important area in every organization is managing the learning and development needs of the teams. You will play a critical role in managing the training activities for all levels of personnel. You will be involved in a range of activities, starting from design and delivery of programs, conducting classes to training effectiveness evaluation.  You will keep abreast with the latest learning and motivation theories to identify new and effective methods and techniques to develop in-house programs.

You will participate in activities related to improving processes for training and collaborate with others by sharing your experiences. As a Senior Associate, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team.  Your focus and ability to meet team targets will help in completing critical training deliverables. Your innovative use of communication tools and techniques will facilitate in explaining difficult issues and establishing consensus between teams. You will oversee and evaluate vendors who develop and conduct training programs for the manufacturing team.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Contribute to the completion of complex projects, manage own time to meet agreed targets and develop plans for work activities on own projects within a team.
  • Performs needs assessments and audience analysis to define the problem/opportunity and identify the discrepancies between current and desired performances.
  • Determines the learning strategy:  training program (On-the-job training, skill assessments, knowledge assessments, eLearning courses, etc.), performance support (procedures, job aids, work instructions, and video), or blend of each.
  • Designs and deploys the training and performance support programs meeting business timelines.
  • Identifies opportunities and leads continuous improvement efforts.
  • Deploys and maintains effective training programs and performance support programs to support site operations, including manufacturing, laboratory testing, engineering, maintenance, and safety.
  • Conduct learning needs analysis and audience analysis to design the appropriate programs using the appropriate methodologies and instructional design models.
  • Works closely with operators on the floor, supervisors, managers, and quality to identify opportunities for improvement.  Provides input and recommendations for solutions.
  • Leads and/or participated in continuous improvement activities utilizing Lean and 6 Sigma (DMAIC) principles.
  • Provides coaching to managers, supervisors and leads regarding the training system including training effectiveness and training methodologies.
  • Works with site and corporate training groups for troubleshooting, ensuring compatibly with systems, and staying informed of industry trends and technologies.
  • Executes work independently, works with various groups across the organization, and leads projects to deploy effective programs within defined timelines.
  • Partner with all functional team onsite to effectively design, develop and implement learning aseptic programs in support of business goals and site strategies.
  • Ensure that all colleagues and contingent workers are qualified to perform their Good Manufacturing Practices {also cGMP} responsibilities in the respective functional areas.
  • Manage and perform routine data entry and data verification for systems.
  • Execute any other related work assigned by the team.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • High school Diploma with 6 years of experience in relevant field, or bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience in relevant field, or a master’s degree.
  • Experience developing, delivering and assessing classroom, computer-based, and competency based functional training
  • Strong facilitation skills as well as instructional systems design experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required to build and maintain working partnerships with all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects to successful outcomes
  • Proactive and effective communication within and across shifts
  • Excellent computer skills including experience with Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel

Nice-to-Have

  • Master’s degree
  • Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Knowledgeable of current trends in training and organization development theory

Work Location Assignment: On Premise

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $78,000.00 to $130,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
