QuantumScape is building a team to develop a robust training program. The ideal candidates will have Learning Management System (LMS) or/and Document Control experience.

Reports to: VP, EHS & Training

Work Location: San Jose, CA- Position is required to be onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic problem solver to perform complex analysis of the training needs of employees to develop training programs that enhance the user experience, knowledge, skills, and performance.
  • Work closely with partner departments to identify and achieve individual department learning goals and objectives.
  • Establish working relationships throughout the organization to develop department-specific curricula and maintain training plans and training matrices and develop department-specific certification programs
  • Create and maintain department procedures and work instructions.
  • Administrator for the systems and tools that the department owns. Administrator responsibilities include but are not limited to setting up user access, technical troubleshooting, system set-up and support as well as being the primary contact with vendors.
  • Create and manage training metrics and reports.
  • Create, provide and support classroom training as needed.
  • Create and revise content using e-learning authoring tools.
  • Create SCORM courses, job aids, guides, manuals, presentations, videos and exams.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle several design projects at once.
  • Stay abreast of development and innovations in the training and development industry to ensure training activities remain current and relevant.
  • Support review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during change control process and create courses to support SOP training in the LMS.
  • Drive continuous improvement through identifying and implementing Training Program and LMS improvement opportunities as well as through review of existing content. Provide SMEs with recommendations for improvement
  • Support special projects related to the training program and/or the LMS.
  • Provide regular updates to management on systems, processes, and projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of 5 years work experience. Preferred 7+ years of work experience
  • Training or/and Document Control experience is required.
  • Experience with identification, implementation and deployment of Learning Management Systems is highly desirable.
  • Learning Management System experience, especially with Traincaster LMS and ISO 9001 are highly desired.
  • Three or more years of creating and managing curriculum, Instruction, Instructional Design or a related discipline.
  • Experience in creating e-learning content in an ISO 9001 environment and knowledge of authoring tools such as Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia or other software and tools to create eLearning materials is a plus.
  • Experience creating high quality videos.
  • HTML5 coding knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to think clearly, write concisely and communicate effectively including the ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to create charts, formulas, pivot tables, etc. using Excel.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as PowerBI is a plus.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize and respond to emerging business needs.

Compensation & Benefits: Salary range for this role is $98,000- $150,000, but a salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience and educational background. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan. In addition, we do offer a tremendous benefits plan including employee paid health care, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and other exciting perks.
