Job Description

We are looking for a professional Instructional Designer with extensive experience developing creative, thoughtful, innovative learning solutions that contribute to world class technical capabilities and performance. A person who is passionate about advancing learning experiences that facilitate acquisition of knowledge, skills and competencies, and ultimately improve on-the-job performance and achieve business goals.
As a Senior Instructional Designer, you will play a key role in designing and developing engaging and impactful learning experiences utilizing advanced technologies for thousands of technicians, engineers and supervisors at Intel’s manufacturing sites our employees. You will be charged with challenging the status quo, driving innovative learning solutions, benchmarking and working with a Learning Management Systems, Data reporting, and analytic solution in a Hybrid, In person, and Remote environment. You will be expected to leverage your expertise to create cutting-edge training materials that align with our learning objectives and business goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with stakeholders/Subject Matter Experts to identify training requirements, gaps, and business opportunities for assigned projects.
  • Define learning objectives, and ensure learning-focused processes, tools, programs, and expectations are followed appropriately.
  • Design, develop, and evaluate training solutions to ensure efficiency and optimize learning and performance.
  • Create storyboards and scripts for multiple delivery methods including augmented and virtual reality.
  • HTML design/editing.
  • Have solid knowledge of course development software (Storyline and Captivate are minimum requirements) and at least one Learning Management System (e.g., Saba Cloud, Blackboard, Canvas).
  • Have basic visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Leverage a variety of media, such as video and audio.
  • Utilize instructional design software, eLearning authoring tools, and emerging technologies to enhance learning experiences and engagement.
  • Conduct quality reviews and assessments of learning materials to ensure instructional integrity, effectiveness, and adherence to design standards.
  • Implement evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness of learning programs, gathering feedback and data for continuous improvement.
  • Follow systematic training methodology process and program management processes to effectively deliver learning outcomes.
  • Apply strong analytic acumen, data analysis, and data mining to pro-actively drive FSM learning strategy and execution.
  • Troubleshoot (research, find root cause and fix) technical course issues within the Learning Management Systems and existing library of courses.

  • Success in this role requires you to be both strategically minded and technically-adept.

Candidate MUST present a strong portfolio demonstrating innovative and effective learning solutions to be considered.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in instructional design, educational technology or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional work experience in creating training content, preferably in a senior or lead role.
  • 3+ years experience in project management with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • 3+ years experience with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Captivate, etc.) and multimedia editing software.
  • 3+ years experience in instructional design methodologies, learning theories, and adult learning principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in effectively writing/creating multiple, complex training programs for a variety of learning delivery methods.
  • Experience with new innovative technology (e.g., VR, AR, Mixed Reality) as a means to improve learning retention preferred.
  • Experience working in a global business environment preferred.
  • Experience with semi-conductor industry or technical background.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. 

In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
