Title: Senior Learning and Development (L&D) Manager 

What You’ll Do:

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Learning and Development (L&D) Manager to join our growing, global InsureTech company. As the Senior L&D Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive learning and development strategies that support the growth and success of our organization. You will partner and collaborate with stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate innovative learning initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of the tech product industry. 

  • Learning Strategy Development: Develop and execute a strategic learning and development roadmap aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. Identify key learning needs and trends within the Product vertical to drive the design and implementation of relevant learning programs and initiatives. 
  • Team Collaboration: Build strong partnerships w/ SMEs, HR Business Partners, and the broader L&D team to foster a high-performance work environment that promotes innovation, creativity, and continuous learning.  We love to have fun and work hard. 
  • Training Program Development: Oversee the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive training programs for employees across various departments. Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging and impactful learning experiences, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, simulations, and other relevant learning materials.  Partner with the ID on more complex initiatives and design needs. 
  • Performance Support and Onboarding: Develop and implement onboarding programs that effectively integrate new hires into the InsureTech environment. Create performance support resources, job aids, and knowledge repositories to enhance employee performance and productivity. 
  • Learning Technology and Systems: Partner with the L&D team to evaluate, select, and implement learning management systems (LMS) or other technology platforms to facilitate the delivery, tracking, and reporting of learning initiatives. Stay abreast of emerging learning technologies and tools to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of learning programs. 
  • Learning Needs Assessment: Conduct ongoing needs assessments to identify skill gaps and performance improvement opportunities. Collaborate with stakeholders and HR partners to design and implement targeted learning interventions that address identified needs and support talent development. 
  • Evaluation and Continuous Improvement: Establish metrics and evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness and impact of learning initiatives. Analyze data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations to enhance the quality and relevance of learning programs. 
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external training vendors, consultants, and subject matter experts to leverage their expertise and resources in supporting the company’s learning and development needs. Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure the delivery of high-quality training services. 
  • Compliance and Regulatory Training: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and requirements by designing and delivering training programs related to compliance, ethics, data privacy, and other relevant topics. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business leaders, department heads, and HR partners to understand organizational needs, align learning initiatives with business objectives, and foster a culture of learning and development. Build strong relationships with stakeholders to promote engagement and support the implementation of learning strategies. 

What You’ve Done:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field. Relevant certifications in learning and development, talent management, or instructional design are highly desirable. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in learning and development, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role. Experience in the insurtech or insurance industry is preferred. 
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the insurtech industry, including emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with SaaS products, processes, and customer needs. 
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of L&D professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Basic instructional design skills (I.e. MS Suite, Camtasia, etc.)
