Position Summary

The Senior Manager of Curriculum and Instruction, Case Management Studio, provides curriculum development, instructional design strategies, training evaluation and assessment, and distributed learning materials for Dallas College’s Case Management Studio, an innovative world-class training center for case managers, success coaches, care navigators, and other professionals. The Case Management Studio will train participants in the foundations of Case Management, social services, and support navigation. Trainings will be research-informed and implemented with high quality and fidelity.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, instructional design methods, and adult learning theory.
  • A working knowledge of case management principles and social work theory.
  • Highly creative and innovative in creating training courses, learning modules, presentation aids, and videos.
  • The ability to identify needs, organize complex information and transform that into engaging and effective training materials. Understands how to use data and technology to develop informative training solutions.
  • The ability to multi‐task and prioritize projects, assignments, and deliverables. Maintains an understanding of learning principles and the ability to apply them to the development and delivery of learning experiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience using multiple forms of training. Uses problem‐solving skills, analyzing the issue(s) and work collaboratively with colleagues to resolve issues and implement new solutions.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, counseling, higher education, or related field and a minimum of four (4) years work-related experience. Official transcripts are required.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in instructional design and development or leading and facilitating training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint) and learning management systems.
  • Current and valid Texas driver’s license required.
  • Bilingual or multilingual preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively with Executive Director and across the student success division to determine instructional needs, provide expertise and assistance with innovative strategies to meet those needs and supports course development.
  • Manage systems to recruit and track attendee participation.
  • Develop survey and feedback structures to analyze the effectiveness of training sessions and adjust as needed.
  • Build relationships with Dallas College staff and use excellent communication skills to present written and oral messages that take into account the type of information being delivered.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and how they can be used to improve the instructional experience.
  • Ability to research, collect and analyze data to make informed decisions.
  • Other duties may be assigned on a regular or occasional basis to respond to the needs of the institution.
  • Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.
