The Sr. Learning and Development Specialist is an essential part of the Skechers Learning and Development team who supports the team’s goal of creating a culture of continuous learning, ensuring employees are equipped with the required skills and knowledge, driving both individual growth and organizational performance. The Sr. Learning and Development Specialist supports the creation and delivery of learning and development content for our retail, corporate or distribution center teams.

Essential Job Results

  • Assesses leadership and individual contributor training needs through data analysis, surveys, interviews, focus groups, and internal procedure requirements by engaging with HR stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Researches, develops, and facilitates effective learning experiences to enhance management readiness using appropriate industry best practices for content delivery.
  • Establishes collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships that drive performance and meets the strategic initiatives of client groups.
  • Identifies development opportunities and creates tools to enhance employee skillsets and knowledge, fostering a highly skilled workforce that positively impacts productivity and business results.
  • Researches and adapts third-party content for use in creating and deploying facilitator-led and eLearning focused on leadership and emerging leader development. Optimizes the HR training portfolio to target learning opportunities to appropriate audiences.
  • Monitors, evaluates, and adjusts learning to ensure effectiveness and relevancy. Recommends and develops alternative solutions if expected improvements are not seen.
  • Works on various technologies, including Workday Learning Management System (LMS), Canva, SOLE intranet survey tools, Articulate, and other tools as needed.
  • Additional projects as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Organizational Development, Organizational Leadership, Business, or related field is required. Master’s Degree in similar field is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of solid experience in a professional environment as a business partner providing Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or Human Resources expertise, including but not limited to assessment, design, and delivery.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, Canva and Workday LMS preferred

$80K-$125K/Annually
