Job Summary

Under general supervision provides consultation in leadership development, change management, organizational effectiveness and performance/talent management, working in partnership with the ODL Director, executive and client groups to orchestrate cultural development and initiatives that impact and address the organizational strategic goals and imperatives. This position provides coaching and support aimed at building a culture of continuous learning and improvement by enabling the organization, the department and the individual to improve effectiveness, supporting a high performance workforce.

Analyzes organizational structures, responsibilities, teamwork, business or operating procedures, reporting relationships and work processes to design efficient methods of accomplishing work to ensure alignment with all ODL projects. The Senior Organizational Development Advisor is responsible for the overall integration, delivery of development programs, providing essential support to enable the individual, department and/or the organization to improve effectiveness that contribute to successful strategy execution, and will specifically oversee the administration of key leadership performance and development projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Leadership Development Coaching. Use an interactive process to help leaders identify competency-based strengths and opportunities, develop rapidly and produce results; improving leaders’ ability to set goals, take action, make better decisions and make full use of their natural strengths. Facilitate and manage leadership peer cohort groups across the organization in order to help leaders build relationships, learn from peers and improve/develop leadership strategies, skills and best practices.  Identify and train leader coaches to participate in and help scale the leadership development coaching program (25%)
  • Program Development and Delivery. Uses assessment tools in a manner that assists the client in understanding their current state and provides direction regarding the most appropriate development opportunities. Implements organizational development solutions, monitors the change and evaluates the results. Creates and administers the most appropriate growth measurement for each activity conducted. Designs, creates and develops informal and formal development solutions to meet organizational needs; analyzes and selects the most appropriate strategy, methodologies and technologies to maximize the learning experience and impact. Delivers informal and formal development solutions in a manner that both engages the learner and produces the desired outcomes (25%)
  • Program Evaluation. Uses participant and peer/manager feedback to modify the training design to better fit organizational needs. Gathers, organizes, and analyzes information regarding the impact of learning solutions against key business drivers, presenting the information in a way that is meaningful to the organization (25%)
  • Organizational Development Strategic Consultation. Develops partnerships with the Executive Team, Directors, Managers and other internal clients to identify initiatives that foster organizational development and align with organizational strategic goals. Proactively addresses and responds to OD issues by bringing key stakeholders together to assess root causes and performance gaps, implementing and/or supporting implementation of appropriate interventions including strategic planning, tactical and project planning, facilitation, instruction, program design, materials development and performance analysis. Provides organization, division, department/unit readiness assessment to ensure successful implementation of projects/programs, especially those related to organizational change. Provides leadership to execute the organization’s strategy; plans, monitors and adjusts learning and development projects or activities (25%)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

Work Experience:

  • 4-6 years Five years of training and organizational development experience Required and
  • 1-3 years Three years of recent experience in group process, conflict resolution, team development preferred. and
  • 1-3 years Two years of instructional design, development and delivery in the areas of leadership, communication and continuous quality improvement or

Licenses:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Sound understanding of OD theories, philosophies, practices and methods.
  • Working knowledge of Organizational behavioral/development.
  • Understanding of organizational needs analysis.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to use audiovisual equipment and apply the use of multi-media into presentations.
  • Ability to navigate on Intranets and Internets including performing searches and research.
