Team Overview

As an Instructional Designer, you’ll be joining the Sales Operations team to help achieve their goals of supporting the revenue team. This can be accomplished in the form of sales process support, reporting, training, as well as coordinating various areas of the business. To provide the tools needed for sales team members, sales operations will collaborate with multiple departments, from marketing to project management to engineers, to ensure roadblocks to closing revenue are overcome.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of high-quality, engaging, and effective learning experiences.
  • Apply instructional design theories, practice, and methods to create innovative learning solutions.
  • Develop and curate content for various learning modalities, including e-learning, instructor-led training, blended learning, and microlearning for product training, new hire onboarding, sales skills, etc.
  • Manage the RapidScale University SharePoint site.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with learning objectives.
  • Manage multiple instructional design projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, L&D leaders, and solutions engineers.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify learning gaps and determine appropriate learning solutions.
  • Analyze learner profiles and performance data to tailor instructional strategies.
  • Develop and implement evaluation strategies, like the Kirkpatrick Model, to measure the effectiveness of learning programs.
  • Use feedback and data to continuously improve instructional materials and approaches.
  • Leverage the latest educational technologies and tools to enhance learning experiences.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in instructional design and technology.
  • Lead instructional design initiatives and contribute to the strategic direction of the learning and development team.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure learning solutions meet business needs and objectives.
  • Ensure all instructional materials comply with organizational standards and industry regulations.
  • Maintain documentation and records of instructional design processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (i.e. Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies ) and 4 years’ experience in a related field (i.e. instructional design, e-learning development). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 2 years’ experience; or 8 years’ experience in a related field
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing successful training programs.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise36, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Surge9).
  • Experience with gamification, microlearning, and mobile learning solutions.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technologies.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
  • Strong graphic design skills and familiarity with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Ability to analyze learning needs and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and apply new instructional design trends and technologies, like AI or AR/VR

USD 72,200.00 – 108,200.00 per year

Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $72,200.00 – $108,200.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company’s needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
