About Our Client

Digital Promise is a global nonprofit working to expand opportunity for each learner. We work with educators, researchers, technology leaders, and communities to design, investigate, and scale up innovations that empower learners, especially those who’ve been historically and systematically excluded.

Our mission is to shape the future of learning and advance equitable education systems by bringing together solutions across research, practice, and technology.

Overview

You’ll be at the forefront of creating an engaging digital badge curriculum tailored for middle and high school students. With a focus on Digital Competencies, the curriculum encompasses Digital Citizenship, Digital Creativity, and Digital Competitiveness. Students will earn a digital badge upon demonstrating proficiency in each area, signifying their mastery of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. This user-friendly online curriculum includes self-paced content, interactive scaffolded activities, and real-world challenge assessments. Additionally, meticulously crafted resources will support both students and teachers.

As the Lead Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for evaluating the first digital competencies course and continuing to explore and recommend learning technology solutions, engagement approaches, and designing courses two and three – Digital Emotional Intelligence, and Digital Communication. The three courses will culminate in a challenge-based project where students develop their solutions and pitch. Each course is roughly 1-2 hours and consists of four 15-20 minute modules.
