The Microsoft Power Platform Skilling team is looking for an experienced content developer to create technical documentation and videos for users who design, configure, and publish modern, external websites using Power Pages. You’ll also be responsible for the documentation of other areas of Power Platform as required.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Content Developer on our team:

  • You will be responsible for the content strategy, writing, delivery, and maintenance of Power Platform content, including text, illustrations, and videos.
  • You will work closely with stakeholders including PMs, designers, support team members, and other content developers. You will often write content in collaboration with feature PMs and other writers.
  • You’ll need to develop a deep understanding of your assigned customer needs and feature areas, plan and prioritize content work, improve content based on feedback and metrics, and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
  • You should be able to respond quickly to new/changing priorities as well as thrive in an environment where you’re busy working closely with others to deliver content that is both highly visible and impactful.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in writing, content design, information technology (IT), or coding/programming
        o OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience creating documentation or training for administrators, IT professionals, or other highly technical audiences
  • 3+ years of experience interacting with software developers, program/product managers, and other content developers to plan and deliver clear, easy-to-understand technical documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Effective language writing skills
  • 2+ years of experience creating and managing content using GitHub and Markdown
  • Knowledge of Power Platform and Power Pages concepts
  • Creative approach to problem solving and for creating meaningful content experiences
  • Knowledge of trends in the user assistance, training, or content publishing industry

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 – $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 – $238,600 per year.
