The Senior Compensation Analyst will be responsible for promoting and advancing the direction of Burlington’s Compensation strategy and framework by strongly partnering with HRBPs, business leaders, finance, payroll, and other stakeholders. This individual will also lead Compensation Programs analysis and development of various plan models and reports with focus on Executive Compensation. This role is expected to provide support on projects and program execution in partnership with the Compensation team.

Key responsibilities to include:

  • Support Total Rewards philosophy by analyzing Compensation programs assigned to Executive Compensation.
  • Advisor to business leaders through effective consultation and interpretation on all areas of compensation.
  • Provide compensation analyses in support of the HR team, senior leaders, and stakeholders.
  • Participate and influence Compensation design and planning of programs, policies, and procedures to meet the business needs
  • In partnership with the Compensation team, facilitate the year end Annual Compensation Planning Cycle specific to LTI and Special Grant Awards. Create Executive Compensation materials for the Compensation Committee meetings.
  • Create models to assist Talent Acquisition team to provide meaningful information to prospective candidates
  • Create ad-hoc analyses in preparation of Compensation Committee meetings.
  • Develops ongoing and ad-hoc reports by leveraging HR and Equity Plan Administration Tools to enhance reporting requirements.
  • Utilize Workday and other systems and tools
  • Partner with Finance and Legal in providing year end compensation information on select individuals for reporting purposes. Responsible for CEO Pay ratio calculations.
  • Provide benchmarking information and recommendations as needed
  • Keep informed of trends in compensation and advise as needed on marketplace and regulatory developments
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Accounting, Legal, Technology, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Act as a change agent for the organization by leading efforts to transfer knowledge on Compensation programs and processes across the business through transparent discussion, effective listening and building positive relationships
  • Participate in enterprise Compensation initiatives as needed
  • Lead and/or perform other related activities as necessary

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • CCP or CEP Certification preferred
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of compensation experience, preferably with at least two years of familiarity with executive pay practices.
  • Experience with Workday, benchmarking and Compensation systems
  • Workday experience required
  • Experience developing and implementing compensation programs, policies, and procedures preferred
  • Experience with Restricted Stock, Stock Options, Performance Stock Units
  • Demonstrated quantitative skills, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office; specifically, Excel and Word
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills including the ability to effectively work independently and manage competing priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to be consultative in Compensation programs and recommendations while leading through influence
