This is a part-time (19 hours/week), three-year position starting 3/1/2025 and ending 2/29/2028.

Purpose

UT High School (UTHS) is seeking a dedicated and strategic Project Manager to support a comprehensive three-year Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) redesign initiative. This temporary position will provide project management, coordination, and facilitation to help the existing C&I team restructure the department and establish a clear framework for curriculum and instructional delivery. The Project Manager will work closely with UTHS leadership, faculty, and external partners to guide the department in defining roles, instructional models, and curriculum development strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Departmental Reorganization: Support the existing team in developing a three-year reorganization plan that includes the creation of job descriptions for curriculum specialists, learning specialists, and teachers. Ensure that the redesign is developed collaboratively by current staff with guidance and structure provided by the project manager.
  • Curriculum Redesign: Assist in developing a strategic curriculum redesign plan that aligns with UTHS’s mission and future goals. Coordinate with staff and instructional leaders to refine course content and establish frameworks for continued development and revision.
  • Instructional Plan Development: Work with the team to define UTHS’s future instructional models, including synchronous and asynchronous learning strategies.
  • Collaboration with University Partners: Serve as the primary liaison between UTHS and key university stakeholders, including the Office of Instructional Innovation in the College of Education and UT professors, to integrate research-based instructional practices into course development, and provide training to our teams.
  • Technology Integration: Coordinate with the UTHS technology team to align curriculum delivery with digital learning platforms.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate communication between leadership, faculty, and external partners to ensure alignment and buy-in for the redesign process.
  • Project Management: Develop timelines, track milestones, and report on progress to ensure timely implementation of the three-year plan.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree in education, Curriculum & Instruction, Instructional Design, Educational Leadership, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in education, curriculum development, instructional design, or project management.
  • At least three years’ experience in online learning, digital curriculum development, or instructional innovation.
  • Strong understanding of synchronous and asynchronous instructional models.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, collaborate with various teams, and facilitate organizational change.
  • Familiarity with higher education partnerships and K-12 instructional best practices.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Salary Range

  • $80 per hour
