Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or a related field.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in progressively responsible learning and professional development roles or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in learning and professional development program design and implementation.
  • Specific knowledge of adult learning theories and practices within an organizational context.
  • Experience translating learning needs into value for the organization.
  • Proven track record of implementing organization-wide change.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.

Desired Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to change and maintain flexibility.
  • Ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

Position Details

Position Purpose

The Manager of Learning and Professional Development is responsible for enhancing the talent pool within the University. This position will design and implement learning and development programs, possess knowledge of learning theories, and a strong knowledge of business practices alongside leadership ability. The individual in this role will oversee the roll-out of initiatives to develop the knowledge and skills of employees, support organizational objectives, and participate in the development of strategies across all levels of the University.
