The Manager of Learning Operations oversees the administration, maintenance, support, and functionality of the Learning Management System (LMS) and other learning technologies. They also lead a team of learning coordinators who provide LMS, learning logistics support and event management for various learning programs and initiatives. The Manager of Learning Operations ensures the quality and effectiveness of learning operations and services and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to align learning solutions with business needs and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations and performance of the LMS and other learning technologies, including system configuration, data integration, user management, security, testing, troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to LMS users, including learners, instructors, administrators, and content developers.
  • Develop and implement standards, policies, and procedures for LMS and learning technology usage, maintenance, and governance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and usage of the LMS and learning technologies and recommend enhancements and improvements as needed.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of learning coordinators who support LMS, learning logistics and event management for various learning programs and initiatives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute learning events, such as webinars, workshops, seminars, and conferences, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the learning logistics budget, including vendor contracts, invoices, accruals, and chargebacks.
  • Ensure compliance with and reporting for relevant policies, standards, and learning operations and services regulations.
  • Commitment to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, learning technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing and administering LMS and learning technologies.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of learning technology standards, best practices, and trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and continually adapt.
