At Datadog, the People team is more than just human resources—it’s a data-driven team dedicated to constantly improving the way we hire, develop, and support our most valuable asset: our people. Our People team are strategic problem solvers who work closely with leadership and employees to ensure that Datadog keeps scaling smoothly and remains a great place to work.
Datadog is looking for a Manager, Learning & Development to lead and enhance our facilitation and instructional design function. You will act as a player-coach, facilitating and designing content yourself (primarily to people manager and leadership populations) as well as coaching your team to deliver high quality training to all employee populations at Datadog. You will directly manage a group of facilitators/instructional designers and receive additional support from other People and Enablement team members to execute programs and operations.
Serving as the strategic owner of our facilitation and instructional design function, you will identify and incorporate internal data, industry benchmarks, research, science, and general best practices into our global training programs. This will require close partnership with a range of stakeholders including program managers, coordination teams, and content SMEs across the business. Our goal is to provide employees learning experiences that are impactful, engaging, and enjoyable.
You will have an opportunity to make a big impact at Datadog by directly upskilling Datadogs across all teams and regions, setting them up to succeed during their onboarding, development, and beyond. The successful candidate will hit the ground running by developing a robust understanding of what programs are in place today and identifying where improvements can be made. They will also learn to confidently facilitate existing workshop content to employees at all levels, up to and including senior leadership.
At Datadog, we place value in our office culture – the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.
