As the Manager of Field Learning & Development, you will champion the growth and performance of over 3,800 KFC US restaurants by crafting innovative learning solutions and strategies that drive operational excellence. This pivotal leadership role combines strategic vision with execution, ensuring that every team member, from front-line team members to Area Coaches, is equipped to deliver exceptional experiences. By fostering collaboration across stakeholders, managing resources efficiently, and leveraging cutting-edge learning technologies, you will set the gold standard for training and development in the restaurant industry.

Here’s How You’ll Spice Things Up

Strategic Leadership in Learning and Development

  • Spearhead the comprehensive learning strategy, including core curriculum and readiness training for all field roles.
  • Partner with organizational leaders to integrate learning solutions that align with strategic priorities.

Design and Delivery of Training Programs

  • Oversee the creation of dynamic training content internally and manage vendor collaborations for external development needs.
  • Ensure the successful rollout of readiness training for promotions, product launches, and technological upgrades, utilizing innovative delivery methods.

Budget and Resource Management

  • Lead the team to create cost-effective training solutions, optimizing a $500K annual budget for materials and delivery.
  • Evaluate project scopes to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Performance and Continuous Improvement

  • Establish metrics for training impact, conducting robust evaluations to drive continuous learning improvements.
  • Develop and execute an annual restaurant readiness evaluation to enhance operational efficiency.

Leadership Development and Cross-Functional Training

  • Design and implement leadership training programs in collaboration with OD and YUM, ensuring relevance across roles.
  • Oversee convention workshop planning and other educational initiatives to enhance managerial capabilities.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Foster collaboration with franchisees, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams to align training strategies with business objectives.
  • Serve as a bridge between learning content strategies and technology ecosystems, ensuring seamless integration.

Innovation and Future-Focused Learning

  • Lead the team in pioneering innovative training methodologies and tools.
  • Maintain a forward-thinking approach to learning technologies, ensuring relevance and adaptability.

What You Bring To The Table

Education/Certifications – Bachelor’s Degree or relevant equivalent experience required; Master’s degree preferred in instructional design or similar discipline.

Experience

  • Years of Experience – 5+ years of corporate training experience.
  • eLearning expertise with experience developing courses.
  • Learning Management System experience/knowledge.
  • Instructional design expertise and experience.
  • Operations experience preferred.
  • Strong facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated coaching skills – able to develop a team and each member of the team.
  • Decision making with urgency.
  • Demonstrated ability to get projects completed with tight timelines.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize.
  • Conversant with learning technologies – can interact with IT teams.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership, peers, and team.
