Key Responsibilities

The Manager – AO Learning Strategy is responsible for translating business requirements defined by AO Learning Strategy and business partner leadership teams into learning solution strategies. Additionally, the Manager partners with the Director to build a multi-year training analytics and insights roadmap that will measure the effectiveness of training programs against defined business objectives, to include United’s Net Promoter Score (NPS), safety, regulatory and other operational metrics resulting in observable and measurable behaviors changes within the target learning audience(s). They analyze data to derive insights about course performance against business objectives. They will use storytelling skills to support the communication of successes and suggested improvements to learning and business leaders.

Within an end-to-end view, this position partners with leaders across the learning organization to continuously transform United’s frontline training programs to support United’s core4 and operational goals.

  • Translate business requirements from AO Learning and business leaders into strategic and innovative learning programs and solutions
  • Implement process improvement changes within training design and delivery to increase efficiency, consistency, and reduce the time to market for training design applying AI, and ultimately ensure training fits the need, initiative, and learner persona(s).
  • Collaborate with leaders to innovate and enhance training design quality, advocating for strong, innovative design principles
  • Implement new design tools to introduce industry-leading training modalities to improve the training experience for operational frontline teams
  • Develop a multi-year analytics and insights roadmap to measure training effectiveness against business objectives, including NPS, safety, regulatory, and operational metrics
  • Analyze training data to derive insights and assess course performance in alignment with business objectives
  • Use effective storytelling skills to communicate findings and recommendations to leadership

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • 4+ years of related experience, including educational design experience
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and facilitate effectively in order to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines
  • Ability to creatively solve problems while working under pressure
  • Ability to show good judgment, take initiative, and make decisions to accomplish job duties
  • Ability to work closely with peers to ensure successful learning outcome
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • 3+ years of business experience outside of learning and development space
  • Skills in measurement and evaluation of training initiatives
  • Experience in designing innovative, learner centric, multiple delivery method learning solutions.
  • Ability to educate, communicate, negotiate, and influence with all levels of management to produce outcomes
  • Knowledge of facilitated and non-facilitated training methodologies and tools

The base pay range for this role is $99,750.00 to $135,960.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
