Responsibilities

Position Overview:

SPA seeks a Learning Specialist to join our Learning and Development team. This hybrid role is perfect for an individual who is experienced in both Instructional Design and LMS administration. The Learning Specialist will be instrumental in designing engaging training programs and managing our LMS (Percipio via Skillsoft), ensuring a robust and seamless learning environment. Familiarity with tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, and Articulate 360 is essential. The successful candidate will have a blend of creative, technical, and interpersonal skills and will be a driving force in maintaining SPA’s standard of excellence in employee development.

This position offers a hybrid working model and will require the incumbent to work onsite in Alexandria 3x a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative eLearning solutions using Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, and Articulate 360.
  • Administer and oversee the Skillsoft LMS, including course management, user administration, and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with experts to pinpoint learning needs and convert them into interactive training content.
  • Deliver training sessions, ensuring an effective transfer of knowledge and a high level of participant engagement.
  • Measure training effectiveness through analytics and feedback and adapt programs as needed.
  • Keep abreast of the latest eLearning technology trends and incorporate new ideas into the learning strategy.
  • Coordinate with the Learning and Development Manager to support strategic learning initiatives.
  • Maintain SPA’s values and compliance standards within all learning materials and platforms.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field
  • At least five years of relevant experience in instructional design and eLearning development in a corporate setting
  • Proficiency in Skillsoft LMS, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, and Articulate 360
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Creative and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work model

Preferred:

  • Experience in Leadership Development and Career Development
  • Exceptional facilitation skills with experience in conducting training sessions
  • Prior experience in a defense or technology industry training role
  • Advanced certifications in instructional design or learning technologies
  • Prior experience with Skillsoft’s Percipio product
  • Familiarity with eLearning standards such as SCORM and AICC
