Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Learning Program Manager to design, coordinate, and implement learning solutions for Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing Technical Services and Print on Demand Manufacturing teams. Supporting a diverse audience across publishing technology and print manufacturing operations, you will develop and improve learning strategies and curricula to yield improved time to proficiency and enhance learner experience. You will work on projects that utilize your expertise in adult learning theory and instructional technologies to enhance the performance of Amazonians. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, a technical aptitude, and a passion for learning and development across both technical and manufacturing environments.
Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
A typical day for the Learning Program Manager begins with reviewing overnight communications from global Print on Demand facilities and attending meetings with Tech Services teams/Operations Managers to gather updates on publishing tools and identify emerging training needs. Throughout the day, they collaborate with SMEs to develop and update training content, ensure consistency across modules, and facilitate virtual training sessions while maintaining the Learning Management System and coordinating with global stakeholders. The role requires constant balancing of reactive and proactive work, from leading content review sessions and managing training metrics to coordinating with regional training leads and ensuring all materials align with both technical publishing requirements and manufacturing operation’s needs.
About the team
The Print on Demand team operates a global manufacturing network producing over 200 million units in multiple formats annually across Fulfillment Centers worldwide. The Technical Services team drives excellence in indie and enterprise book publishing by improving publishing tools, educating publishers, maintaining content quality standards, and fostering strong partner relationships. Both teams support Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing and Kindle Enterprise publishing businesses.
