Position Overview

The Learning Manager is responsible for all aspects of supervision, managing day to day operations for Training & Development team members. Directing and participating in the assessment, design, development, and implementation of training programs that equip operational employees with the right knowledge, skills, and tools to deliver a high quality service experience. Reporting to the Director of Training & Quality, you will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining training that fosters a culture of continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, develop, coach Training & Development team members to maximize performance, fostering a culture of excellence, and promote continuous improvement
  • Directs and participates in analyzing, designing, developing, and delivery of training programs for all operational areas that align with organizational goals, including onboarding, professional development, and new program launches
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies, procedures, and protocols to enhance the effectiveness of training, including the review and evaluation of training programs to ensure they are meeting department standards (e.g. Quality review of learning outputs)
  • Build strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders, including financial professionals, distribution leadership, and other key partners to drive and support training
  • Forecast, manage, and allocate resources, ensuring our SLA’s are met with all operational areas
  • Assists in management of the training budget, ensuring cost-effective training solutions while maximizing impact.
  • Ensure training programs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Prepare and present reports on training activities and outcomes to key stakeholders

Skills and Abilities

  • Proven leadership experience in developing and managing training programs within the life insurance industry
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data driven decisions to improve business outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Deep understanding of training mythologies
  • Demonstrated ability to assist in driving strategic initiatives, managing teams, and delivering results in a complex organizational environment

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Learning, HR, Business Administration, Finance, or Insurance

Experience

  • Minimum of 6-7 years progressive experience in life & annuity industry, and significant formal corporate training environment: Designing, developing, and or delivering training. Required

Base Salary – $100,500- $147,000
