What You’ll Need:

  • 3-4 years in a learning and development or related role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Admin, or related focus or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Demonstrated experience in training/learning, development, and performance management.
  • Curricula and course development combining live and online resources.
  • Experienced with learning management and performance management systems (i.e. 360Learning, Lattice, etc.). 
  • Understanding of the principles of adult learning, especially in a corporate setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including exceptional facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives and design and implement effective training and development.
  • Strong project and time management, organizational, and follow-through skills and the ability to effectively prioritize your own work in a deadline-driven atmosphere.

What You’ll Do:

  • Create, organize, and develop various forms of organizational onboarding and employee skills training. Evaluate current program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback. Maintain and coordinate annual training calendar and budget.
  • Provide tools, support, and framework for Leaders and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to build comprehensive department and role-specific training solutions. Support them in developing unique training programs to fulfill role-specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
  • Administer and maintain the Learning & Development System to manage users, promote new content, and track and report completions.
  • Manage the performance management program including the development, implementation, communication, and administration of the programs and initiatives that evaluate, measure, enhance, and improve employee performance.

  • Work with leaders to identify and document the current and emerging skills, competencies, and behaviors required to achieve desired agency results and prepare for the future.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest training, performance, and development trends.

This role will be hybrid based out of our San Diego HQ office

This range may differ based on your geographic location, cost of living considerations, and individual experience and skill set. 

Hiring Range

$75,000—$85,000 USD
