Job Description

The primary goal of the Learning & Development Specialist is to assist with identifying company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and arrange suitable training solutions for employees. This position supports both the onboarding of and continued development of new and existing employees. The Learning & Development Specialist will organize multi-modal delivered training programs for new and existing team members, including planning and executing monthly orientations.

Duties/Responsibilities: The duties listed below are an outline of the role’s responsibilities and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the organization change, these duties may be modified as needed.

  • Assist with developing training and development programs and objectives.
  • Administer spending against the departmental budget.
  • Collaborate with Content Creator(s) to obtain and/or develop effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
  • Support overall People and Culture team to ensure effective onboarding and continued development.
  • Partner with Learning Team and Department Leaders to maintain overall compliance with learning requirements.
  • Assess student progress and align the content with their needs.
  • Plan, organize, and order supplies for employee development and training events.
  • Coordinate and execute weekly and monthly new hire orientations.
  • Coordinate various training seminars, both locally and out-of-state.
  • Maintain records to monitor the progress of trainees.
  • Coordinate with Human Resource partners to ensure all employee training documentation and certifications are recorded in personnel file folders.
  • Ensure confidentiality of client and company information.
  • Understand and adhere to the Landmark Properties policies and procedures.
  • Assist in corporate projects as requested.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field strongly preferred.
  • Three years of experience implementing employee development programs
  • Residential Property Management experience is STRONGLY preferred.
  • LMS/HRIS experience preferred.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Must have excellent communication, management, and people skills, including public speaking/presenting.
  • Strong event planning and management background
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
  • Strong financial, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Strong internet, word processing, and spreadsheet skills
