We are seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The successful candidate will be an expert problem-solver with excellent troubleshooting skills, a proactive mindset and positive attitude.

Job Overview

The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the learning management system (LMS), designing, implementing and evaluating training programs to improve employee performance and support career development. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to identify training needs, develop effective solutions and analyze data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Management: Create, upload, and maintain online content. Ensure all materials are up-to-date and relevant.
  • Assess Training Needs: Conduct needs assessments through job analysis, career paths and consultations with managers to identify training requirements.
  • System Management: Configure and manage the LMS, including use setup, course deployments and system upgrades.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Generate and analyze reports of LMS usage, course completions, and learner progress. Develop dashboards to monitor progress.
  • Develop Training Programs: Design and implement learning strategies and programs, including e-learning courses, workshops and other training formats.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for users and develop user guides and manuals.
  • Deliver Training: Facilitate training sessions using various methods such as workshops, e-learning, and on-the-job training.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in LMS administration and recommend improvements.
  • Project Management: Implement client-driven learning and development projects, working closely with business and technical teams.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience managing a LMS, preferably in a corporate or educational setting.
  • 5+ years of experience in the use of and application of Virtual Learning Technology (Zoom, Teams, Adobe Connect, WebEx, etc.)
  • Advanced experience with data analysis, reporting tools, content development, learning management system functionality, and system integrations.
  • Strong analytical skills in assessing training needs and program effectiveness
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interface effectively with Human Resource colleagues, business leaders and management
  • Ability to work collaboratively on multiple, diverse projects in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of instructional design, eLearning tools, SCORM, AICC and collaboration technologies.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge: VLOOKUP, XLLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF, filters, pivot tables, etc.
