Job Description

Role Description

The Learning and Development specialist will support training and development projects and initiatives for all restaurant operations. A successful individual in the role will ensure all restaurant-level training is completed by both exempt and nonexempt employees, while supporting the Senior Manager of Learning and Development to develop additional training materials for both our restaurants and the greater organization. This role will primarily be performed on-site in our Support Center HQ, located in New York City, with weekly responsibilities in the field at our restaurant locations in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Convive Brands New Hire Orientation for both exempt and nonexempt roles.
  • Oversee the logistics of onboarding for both nonexempt and exempt Restaurant Operations employees, by collaborating closely with People Partners, Talent, and Operations teams.
  • Conduct site visits to validate adherence to onboarding processes, provide constructive feedback on ongoing training programs, and monitor employee progress.
  • Collaborate on the oversight of organizational initiatives and programs to ensure effective implementation.
  • Collaborate on the oversight and facilitation of Operations Leadership development programs.
  • Support the management of the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure efficient training administration and tracking.
  • Collaborate on the creation of various training materials to support the professional growth and development of Convive Brands employees.
  • Ability to communicate effectively up and down organizational structures, as needed

Qualifications

  • 1- 3 years of Learning & Development Specialist experience or comparable role.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry, preferred.
  • Foundational understanding of Adult Learning Theory.
  • Previous experience leading training initiatives, including but not limited to educating small to large groups in an engaging, presentation-style format, to a wide range of audience backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively up and down organizational structures.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office, with emphasis on presentation and data visualization tools.
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing environments; both strong critical thinking and problem solving skills required.
  • Previous experience managing a Learning Managing System (LMS) is a plus.

The annualized salary range for this position (plus a bonus) is: $65,000 – $75,00
