Overview:

Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD) is a fast paced and dynamic environment with a focus on collaboration and teamwork. Reporting to the Team Manager of the Claims, Pharmacy, and Provider Services business portfolio, this role will be responsible for developing and delivering training on business processes including systems and applications. Technical writing will be a strong asset as you will also create and maintain documentation. Knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, and using technology to create and facilitate engaging virtual training for our stakeholders are critical competencies for this role.

This position has initially been approved for 12 months. It is also a remote position that may require occasional on-site work at our Edmonton office”

What You Will Do:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with your team and our stakeholders via virtual technologies.
  • Work in partnership with stakeholders to identify training requirements based on department and company goals and target dates.
  • Apply instructional design models and adult learning theory to curriculum development.
  • Provide engaging virtual facilitation experiences to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Update and maintaining all training and references materials.
  • Evaluate the impact of training programs to ensure objectives are being met.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in written and verbal communication both in and outside of the virtual classroom to communicate ideas and collaborate with stakeholders and various levels of leadership.

What You Will Have:

  • Relevant post-secondary degree (e.g., education, adult education, instructional design, etc.) or 3+ years of training experience, including development and facilitation.
  • Preference will be given to those with an adult learning certificate from an accredited institution or other relevant post-secondary training and work experience.
  • Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Ability to learn business applications from both operational and technical perspectives.
  • Ability to work well independently within a virtual team.
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Established track record built on exhibiting initiative, result orientation and a drive to succeed.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with above average proficiency in verbal and written communication.
