Job Description

Our CosMc’s project team is seeking a curious, confident, and reliable Field Learning and Development Supervisor. This position is a strategic partner and advisor to leadership, our restaurant teams, Operations, and key partners. While you will facilitate best-in-class learning and development programs and ongoing training for learners in a variety of roles, you will also act as the SME for all things training, learning, and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Reinforce our leading customer experience values that improve business results by consulting in training, onboarding, operational standards, and facilitating field training
  • Partner with the Operations team to create and develop training
  • Conduct training that motivates, builds proficiencies and improves individual’s performance and contribution to restaurant results
  • Demonstrate and reinforce the leading customer experience behaviors that support CosMc’s culture
  • Address knowledge gaps in-store execution and coach the team to achieve results
  • Serve each stakeholder’s requests by helping identify the appropriate resources and interventions to accomplish their objectives most effectively
  • Provide strategic interventions that help their team accomplish its objectives
  • Coach restaurant leadership and captains to be skilled to train by consulting on how to measure and improve training results, and how to appropriately diagnose problems and create actions that solve them
  • Frequently communicate and provide feedback to the New Business Ventures team regarding the success and opportunities for people development within CosMc’s
  • Create a partnership between Restaurant Management, The Operations Team, CosMc’s Leadership, and explorers that stimulates the transfer of training, return on training investment (ROI), and improves restaurant results
  • Serve as an operations specialist and consultant on CosMc’s operating standards, management tools, and training systems to maximize employee and customer experience

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to travel (>50-90%) within Texas market and to McDonald’s HQ in Chicago (Travel can become extensive during peak restaurant opening periods)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of adult education/facilitation experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in a customer service and/or hospitality environment
  • Experience working in an ambiguous, ever changing environment
  • Strong work ethic, business sense, and self-starter
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred:

  • BA/BS degree
  • Previous operations experience in QSR, restaurants and/or hospitality industry
  • Previous consulting experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish & English
  • Strong leadership qualities (i.e. emotional intelligence, mental and physical stamina, ability to inspire performance, empowers greatness, nurtures potential, curious, confident and reliable)
