Who We’re Looking For

Toyota’s Service Operations department is looking for a passionate and highly skilled Performance Excellence Learning and Development Manager.

As the Performance Excellence Learning and Development Manager, you will lead a large team of instructional designers and trainers and will play a pivotal role in enhancing our Service Operations organization’s capacity to learn, grow, and thrive through optimized enablement and execution of the programs you manage. You will be responsible for creating the front-line agent enablement and success vision by developing and implementing comprehensive, effective, and compliant training programs and strategies that enable our team members and suppliers to deliver customer-centric solutions, drive satisfaction, and increase resolution. You will also play a key role in enhancing our compliance culture and operational efficiency and effectiveness through deployment of creative training solutions (in the right channel for the right audience) to help close compliance and operational gaps. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strategic mindset, strong collaborative skills, a passion for learning, and a focus on optimization of organizational performance leveraging data.

What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging programs tailored to various internal and supplier teams and job roles, especially for customer-facing front line agents and supervisors that meet the needs of diverse end user.
  • Manage the end-to-end curriculum development process, from needs analysis to evaluation of training effectiveness.
  • Build program that leverages various flexible training methods (in-person, virtual, e-learning, etc) tailored to business need while balancing operational capacity.
  • Partner with Service Operations leadership and strategy teams to identify new hire and refresher training needs and objectives.
  • Employ a combination of methods to provide comprehensive feedback to Experience managers and supervisors to help them make informed decisions on new hire progress.
  • Create delivery vision for Training Curriculum Developers and Trainers
  • Provide day-to-day support and guidance to team.
  • Ensure training solutions are embedded in compliance issue resolution and meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure strong controls and systems are in place for retention and tracking of training course completion for regulatory exams and compliance purposes.
  • Partner across the organization to ensure best in class learning solutions are provided and reported on in a compliant manner.

What You Bring 

  • B.S./B.A degree in Accounting and Finance or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive and related work experience
  • Demonstrated success in management of team members. 

Added Bonus If You Have 

  • Master’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or Knowledge Management
  • Experience supporting a contact center or 
  • CPTD – Certified Professional in Talent Development or CPTM Certified Professional in Training Management
  • CKM – Certified Knowledge Manager
  • PMP – Project Manager Professional
  • Kaizen and Six Sigma Certifications
