We are searching for a Learning and Development Assistant to join our Learning and Development team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About The Opportunity

  • Organizes in Person Learning sessions including but not limited to, scheduling in person training with facilitators and participants, ensuring equipment is functioning and ordering food as required per sessions.
  • Photocopies and assembles printed materials for training as needed
  • Ensures training program attendance is managed and maintained in Session Manager
  • Records session evaluation feedback
  • Assists with the administration of annual compliance education by completing sign off/attendance records
  • Supports the management of the Learning email inbox. Answers questions or filters to subject matter experts. Follows up where necessary.
  • Supports the communication of messages from the L&D team using multiple communication tools
  • Manages the Caught you Being Great/Safe/Green cards including correcting errors, accuracy of logos and mailing to appropriate locations for employee distribution.
  • Processes Great People store items including employee redemption/delivery and maintaining inventory

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Administrative Professional diploma
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Bilingualism in English and French
  • Experience with student placement tracking software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); use of Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Strong organization skills, high attention to detail and demonstrated initiative
  • Strong interpersonal skills
