Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning & Development Communication Lead to join our global team. This individual will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our L&D communication channels, ensuring effective and engaging delivery of information to our employees globally. This role combines the responsibilities of a communications specialist with those of an instructional developer, requiring a unique blend of creativity, interpersonal collaboration skills, technical expertise, and a passion for continuous learning.

Responsibilities

Communication Management:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies for L&D programs, initiatives, and resources, specifically tailored for a global audience.
  • Manage and maintain L&D communication channels, including SharePoint sites, email lists, newsletters, and internal social platforms, ensuring accessibility and relevance across different regions and time zones.
  • Create engaging and informative content (e.g., announcements, articles, videos) to promote L&D offerings and drive employee participation worldwide.
  • Track and analyze communication effectiveness, making data-driven adjustments to optimize reach and engagement across different cultural contexts.

Instructional Design:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to design and develop high-quality, culturally sensitive learning materials, including eLearning modules, videos, presentations, and job aids.
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to create engaging and effective learning experiences for a global workforce.
  • Utilize a variety of authoring tools and technologies to develop and deliver learning content that is accessible and engaging across different languages and cultures.

Multimedia Development:

  • Leverage expertise in Adobe Creative Suite to produce visually appealing and impactful learning materials that resonate with a global audience.
  • Create and edit videos, including screen recordings, animations, and live-action footage, incorporating cultural nuances and accessibility features.
  • Manage video streaming platforms and ensure seamless delivery of video content to employees worldwide.

Knowledge Management:

  • Curate and maintain L&D knowledge repositories, ensuring easy access to learning resources and materials for employees across the globe.
  • Implement strategies to capture and share organizational knowledge effectively, considering language and cultural differences.

Event Management:

  • Plan and execute live L&D events, including workshops, conferences, and training sessions, catering to a global audience with varying time zones and logistical needs.
  • Coordinate logistics, manage registration, and ensure smooth event execution, both in-person and virtually.

Training & Presentation Support:

  • Provide support for training sessions and interdepartmental presentations, including the design and development of high-quality PowerPoint presentations.
  • Collaborate with presenters to ensure clear and effective communication of key messages.
  • Offer guidance on presentation best practices, visual aids, and delivery techniques.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Instructional Design, Education Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years client management and customer service.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in:
    • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
    • Graphic design and visual communication
    • Video editing and production
    • SharePoint Design
    • eBlast communication
    • Creation of Communication Plans
    • Developing eLearning Courses for LMS systems, and data tracking
    • Communication Metrics Management
    • Managing video streaming platforms (LMS, SharePoint, Teams)
    • Knowledge management and data repository management (SharePoint, LMS)
    • Event planning and execution
  • Proven experience successfully collaborating with global project teams and initiatives, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and awareness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independentlyand as part of a team.
