AssetMark is hiring for a Junior Instructional Designer on the Sales Training Team. We seek a hard-working, organized, creative professional with finance industry experience. This is a full-time position in our Chicago, IL office with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:

Learning Program Support:

  • Partner with the Sales Training Team to provide initial and ongoing training and development for associates in all sales roles
  • Work cross-functionally to manage and enhance the database of training resources available for use in coaching Sales Associates
  • Manage content for peer-to-peer sales training, best practices, and idea sharing through Allego
  • Manage content for onboarding of new Sales Associates
  • Assign Training to new and existing sales team
  • Maintain Assetmark Sales University SharePoint Site and newsletter
  • Maintain Work cross-functionally to manage and enhance the database of training resources available for use in coaching Sales Associates
  • Build and manage learning pathways
  • Develop and maintain training records, metrics, and results for each Sales Associate
  • Act as point of contact for training as it relates to vendors and participants, including the timely payment of invoices
  • Develop expertise in using existing technology solutions and drive Allego strategy, implementation, and adoption
  • Schedule in-person and/or virtual training for onboarding, ongoing skill development, product/service launches, third-party asset managers, and any other ad hoc training
  • Assist with maintenance and updating learning content
  • Monitor the Sales Training Outlook inbox
  • Keep the Training Calendar up to date
  • Assist with the design and development of training material and performance support tools
  • Run reports for learning analytics to measure learning effectiveness
  • Ability to travel as needed for training of remote employees/office locations

Learning Content Creation:

  • Collaborate with SMEs to collect, analyze, and learn operational processes, procedures, and policies and assist with transferring that information into course content as appropriate to learning objectives
  • Design and develop learning materials in a variety of formats, including but not limited to quick instructor-led courses, eLearning modules, reference guides, multimedia, audio, and videos
  • Recommend changes to existing courses, including technology or instructional methods, to better adhere to delivery options for the course
  • Remain aware of all emerging instructional technologies and make recommendations for improvements
  • Provide Sales Managers with scalable resources to reinforce sales training accountability and continued development through on-the-job learning
  • Participate in creating and implementing new training programs and/or initiatives
  • Gather feedback, ideas, and process improvements from the team and work closely with Sales Leaders and/or functional departments to implement
  • Manage the end-to-end process of designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating effective training curriculum
  • Design training for face-to-face, virtual, and on-demand/just-in-time delivery methods using creative, innovative, and evidence-based approaches
  • Promote, build, and organize peer-to-peer sales training, best practices, and idea sharing through Allego

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to apply adult learning sciences, best practices, and latest learning trends to design and develop effective learning experiences.
  • Proficient in using course authoring tools and video editing software
  • Proficient in using Allego and video editing software – preferred
  • Mastery in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) – preferred
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com – preferred
  • Proficient in Salesforce.com, eWealthManager, Seismic and other sales enablement tools – preferred

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Instructional Design experience
  • BA or BS (4-year degree) or Certification in Education, Curriculum Design, Adult Learning, Instructional Design, or related field
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems
  • Experience in Sales Training
  • FINRA licenses: Series 6, 63, and 65 and/or Series 7 and 66 – preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in the financial services industry – preferred
  • 1+ years in an AssetMark CSG role – preferred
  • Experience with the consultative sales approach – preferred
