Job Description Summary

As a Jr. Instructional Systems Designer (ISD)/LMS Coordinator working for Taylor Morrison you will partner with our Senior ISD and be responsible for creating learning materials for initial and ongoing staff development as well as support and execute LMS activities. This position partners continuously with subject matter experts throughout the organization to determine evolving learning need. This position will facilitate the internal education of peers, business partners and customers in the use of new and increasingly effective employee learning and development techniques and associated outcomes.

We trust that as a Jr. Instructional Systems Designer/LMS Coordinator you will: (responsibilities)

  • Employ adult learning principles and instructional design theories.
  • Conduct customer requirements gathering sessions.
  • Create intellectually challenging and personally engaging employee learning experiences that integrate instructor-led, experiential, and technology-based learning.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and presentation skills.
  • Edits and makes recommendations on various educational media.
  • Work independently with minimum direction; takes projects successfully from concept to implementation.
  • Demonstrate excellent instructional technology skills with desire to learn new tools (software and hardware) as appropriate.
  • Manage LMS functions to include but not limited to training assignments, content uploading, reports, event scheduling, attendance tracking and catalog maintenance.
  • You are willing to perform other duties as assigned.

About You

  • BA/BS preferred. Instructional Design and/or Technology, Education, Business, Adult Learning or related field highly preferred
  • 2+ years of Training and Development, Blended Learning and Adult Education experience
  • Experience with Articulate, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Cloud products
  • Experience with Cornerstone and Vyond a plus.
  • Experience with AICC and SCORM
  • Visible passion for learning and the ability to influence all levels of employees to drive the organizational development and learning agenda.
  • Ability to build successful relationships with a variety of constituents is essential; establishes rapport with business partners and customers and works effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to read, interpret, organize, and synthesize source material into well-written, concise learning products.
  • Ability to motivate others through enthusiasm, positive work habits and high energy.
  • Thrives in a team environment where creativity, flexibility, and communication are highly valued.
  • Role models excellent communication and interpersonal skills

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

  • This position is considered a non-exempt position for purposes of wage-hour law, which means that you will be required to keep a time record and will be eligible for overtime pay.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Taylor Morrison experience and/or successful completion of training program may override required education and/or experience requirement.
