Position Information

Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm.
FLSA status: Exempt
Earliest Start Date: As soon as possible.
Salary: Starting $49,500 annually, commensurate with experience.

Purpose of Position
Summary: Assists in the administration and support of the centralized instructional tools to include the university’s Learning Management System (LMS), Blackboard. Works with and trains faculty in the use of tools and techniques in the production of robust technology-based instructional solutions.

Statement Of Duties And Responsibilities
Assists in the administration and support of the Learning Management System (LMS) by conducting system maintenance, upgrades/updates, tool integrations, and troubleshooting.
Provides customer support to students, faculty, and staff using the LMS and integrated technology.
Promotes adoption of instructional technology and online learning.
Provides instructional technology training to students, faculty, and staff.
Occasionally consults individually or with instructor groups, departments, and colleges to determine, develop, and apply appropriate instructional tools.
Stays updated on new instructional technologies features, system upgrades, and other relevant industry trends.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.
Complies with all State and University policies.
Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s objectives, policies and applicable laws.

Minimum Education required: Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Experience required: Two years of related experience informing, advising, and assisting in the assessment, management, and production of instructional objects and activities in both technological and non-technological environments; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with administration of Learning Management System Programming experience
