The Role

As an Educational Slide Designer at Ziplines, you will be essential to delivering exceptional learning experiences by transforming educational content into clear, concise, and visually engaging slides. Utilizing videos, outlines, and other resources from subject matter experts, you will craft comprehensive visual aids that simplify complex concepts, resulting in easy-to-understand materials that capture learners’ attention and promote cognitive engagement.

Your work will be pivotal in enriching the learning experience, making a measurable impact on learners’ understanding and retention. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge educational projects, directly enriching learners and advancing their educational journey. 

What You’ll Do

  • Visual Design Creation: Design and develop visually engaging slide decks that bring educational content to life, simplifying complex ideas and fostering learner engagement. 
  • Contextual Creation: Create each slide to support key concepts and align with learning objectives, creating a clear and immersive educational experience.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with instructional designers and the design team to understand learning objectives and translate them into engaging visual narratives.
  • Learner-Centered Design: Apply user-centered design principles to ensure learning materials are intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly.
  • Brand Alignment: Maintain consistency with company branding guidelines and templates while incorporating visual elements that enhance learning outcomes.
  • Feedback Integration: Iterate designs based on stakeholder feedback, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with project goals.

Who You Are

  • You have proven experience as a slide or visual designer, preferably within educational or e-learning contexts.
  • You have strong attention to detail, with a meticulous eye for design and a dedication to crafting slides that are visually consistent and effectively communicate core ideas.
  • You have design expertise and a strong design portfolio showcasing your ability to create clear, engaging, and purposeful visual aids.
  • You are creative and can think creatively and strategically to solve design challenges and enhance learning experiences.
  • You are an excellent verbal and written communicator, with the ability to effectively present and explain design concepts to team members and stakeholders.
  • You are a collaborator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

The contract rate for this role: $30 – $40 per hour, based on factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related considerations. This is a part-time (up to 20 hours/week) contract role.
