Instructional Developer

The successful candidate will work with a team of highly dedicated and experienced former service personnel in maintaining the U.S. Navy’s Warfighting Capability by providing the highest quality training available.

You will be working as part of a team with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting all phases of the Job duty task analysis (JDTA), Front End Analysis (FEA) and Business Case Analysis (BCA)
  • Reviewing and evaluating curricula materials for clarity, technical adequacy, educational adequacy, accomplishment of learning objectives and identify areas that require revision.
  • Conducting formative and summative analysis of NETC courses.
  • Serve as a functional expert in Instructional Systems Design in support of NETC’s curriculum development applications.
  • Providing customer service related to curriculum development functions within NETC’s curriculum development applications.
  • Identifying program deficiencies and assisting management with the tracking of engineering requests proposals and application change requests.
  • Develops training for new curriculum development tool
  • Delivers training for new curriculum development tool

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have and be able to maintain a “SECRET” security clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access capabilities to US Naval Installations .
  • Must be able to travel on occasion to locations within CONUS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Instructional Systems Design or related field and at least four (4) years of job-related experience.
  • Good written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

Preferred Qualifications

The best qualified applicant would have a Master’s degree or Ph.D. and previous experience with US Navy training, training systems, training guidance, and have at least a working knowledge of the following:

  • Sharable Content Object Resource Model (SCORM) compliant courseware. 
  • AIM Content Planning Module (CPM) / Learning Object Model (LOM) software
  • NAVEDTRA 136 Series
  • Job/Duty Task Analysis
  • Front-End Analysis (FEA)
  • Business Case Analysis (BCA)
