Holman currently has an excellent opportunity available with our Learning & Development team for an Instructional Designer I.

Schedule: Hybrid (T, W, TH in-office and M&F remote work option)

Compensation: $60-75k annual salary DOE

What will you do?

  • Uses a variety of techniques for determining the instructional content of courses, curricula and programs incorporating sound principles of adult learning theory, ensuring that program design accommodates different learning styles.
  • Creates thorough design documents for classroom, self-paced and blended learning including measurable learning objectives, instructional activities, and other learning tools and resources for automotive personnel.
  • Partners with Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to clearly understanding training request, gather relevant information and develop a comprehensive training program to support business needs.
  • Uses a variety of learning technologies to achieve desired learning outcomes.
  • Develops instructional materials/assets including participant guides, instructor guides, presentations, skills assessments, and job aids.
  • Continuously improve instructional materials based on learner feedback and performance data.
  • Maintain a learner-centric focus, ensuring materials are engaging, interactive, and accessible.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in education, organizational development, instructional design, human performance technology, or related field desired.
  • At least 3 years’ experience designing and developing learning courses and programs.
  • Experience with Articulate 360, Rise, Canva, PowerPoint and other design software strongly desired.
  • General knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • Solid understanding of the instructional design process.
  • Excellent organization skills; detail oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent one-on-one skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • that is unfamiliar to us, but could have an infinite number of options for solutions.
  • Ability to design training using multiple modes including but not limited to eLearning, Virtual Instructor Led, and Instructor Led trainings.
  • Review, update, and improve existing training to ensure relevancy and accuracy.

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $56,400.00 – $81,775.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
