Red Nucleus is hiring an Instructional Designer to join our global team! This role can be hybrid out of our Yardley, PA office, or full-time remote in the US. Candidates must be able to work EST hours.

How You Will Contribute

As an Essential Skills Instructional Designer, your primary responsibilities will center around curating, supporting, enhancing, and evolving our existing library of on-demand Essential Skills courses, some of which can be found here: https://www.rednucleus.com/rnti.

Core to the role will be for you to develop an unmatched understanding of our Essential Skills training portfolio that includes e-learning, workshops, simulations, job aids, and other learning support tools. After mastering the content and tools in our Essential Skills portfolio, you will support business development efforts by educating Red Nucleus Business Development Directors about Essential Skills offerings, developing sales support materials, participating in sales calls, and expertly running demos of any tools in our portfolio.

Post-sale, you will consult with clients to tailor solutions and implement customizations that align with their objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

Content Management, Enhancement, and Curation

  • Curate, support, enhance, and evolve a library of existing Essential Skills workshops, e-learning modules, and simulations
  • Update content to improve clarity, relevance, timing, graphics, and learner engagement while maintaining sound instructional design and adult learning principles
  • Analyze client feedback to determine if customizations should evolve into global updates for master programs
  • Coordinate artists, editors, medical writers, and developers for enhancements as needed
  • Implement and maintain version control and archiving of course materials

Client Collaboration and Customization

  • Consult with clients to help them understand training objectives, content, functions, and logistics
  • Tailor content to meet specific client needs, logistics, and/or learning objectives; this includes e-learning, workshops (PPTs, facilitator and participant materials, communications, etc), simulations, job aids and other learning support tools
  • Implement basic graphic updates (eg, logos, disclaimers) as required

Sales Enablement

  • Act as the primary resource for Business Development Directors who are introducing Essential Skills offerings to clients
  • Create, enhance, and maintain core sales support materials such as PDFs, presentations, video demos, and testimonials
  • Support Essential Skills sales efforts by participation in:
    • Discovery calls
    • Pre-pitch planning and consultation
    • Pitch and client presentations
    • Program and simulation demos
  • Create and deliver internal knowledge sessions and communications to train project teams and business development staff on key aspects of Essential Skills offerings, tools and customizations

Custom Instructional Design Support (As Time Allows)

  • Consult with clients and Red Nucleus project teams to shape the design of fully custom learning solutions
  • Contribute to ideation and design of workshops, e-learning modules, podcasts, videos, simulations, and AI-enabled tools
  • Contribute ideas, participate in brainstorming, and generally support the internal community of Red Nucleus instructional designers and learning strategists

About You

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree required
  • 2+ years of instructional design experience
  • Familiarity with Essential Skills topics or experience in an agency setting is preferred
  • Deep knowledge of instructional design models, best practices, and adult learning principles
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage version control and customization processes
  • Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal presentation abilities
  • Self-motivated problem solver who thrives in dynamic environments
  • Comfortable presenting to and engaging with clients in professional discussions
  • PowerPoint expertise
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to work EST hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotechnology sales training is a plus
  • Experience writing for multimedia formats
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and events
  • Familiarity with tools like Camtasia, CapCut, Audacity, Synthesia, Vyond, Murf AI, Descript, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred
  • Experience with Articulate Storyline is a plus
