Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans, organizes, and develops training curricula, materials, and programs to meet specific training needs. 
  • Analyzes learning needs and partners with subject matter experts to provide input for course content. 
  • Plans and coordinates skill assessments and training. 
  • Works with management to ensure course materials are current and relevant to training needs. 
  • May facilitate specific onboarding and training activities. 
  • Tracks and analyzes training programs by examining learner’s satisfaction levels, proficiency testing, and job performance. 
  • Designs computer-based training as well as materials for instructor led courses. 
  • Consults and partners with appropriate subject matter experts to obtain content for online and instructor led courses. 
  • Works with the business content experts to convert local content into training material to include printed/online role based training manuals, job aids, policies and procedures, work flows, and supporting presentations for instructor led training. 
  • Maintains a centralized repository of training material and an online library of training material by managing updates/changes from content experts to ensure all material available is up to date. 
  • Ensures appropriate training materials are accessible to staff. 
  • Develops customized training programs for employees, as necessary. 
  • Enters data into the Emory learning management system and tracks and monitors training participation and assessments via reporting.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or related field and five years of instructional design or training development experience. 
  • Skilled in project management and demonstrated familiarity with instructional design and courseware development principles. 
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills. 
  • Proficient with video and editing software.

Note: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University/Emory Healthcare location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
