Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Instructional Designer Developer to lead the design, development, and delivery of training activities for the Finance workstream. This role is crucial in ensuring effective end-user adoption through comprehensive training deliverables. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training requirements and create impactful learning experiences that support the Utility integration and future ERP transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training Needs Analysis: Collaborate with Functional Change Specialists and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to conduct training needs analysis and define training requirements for stakeholder groups.
  • Learning Design: Develop learning objectives, create storyboards, and recommend appropriate delivery mechanisms for training courses and activities.
  • Curriculum Development: Work with SMEs, project leads, and change specialists to design, develop, implement, evaluate, and revise curriculum and learning resources aligned with program goals.
  • Development Planning: Create and maintain a Detailed Development Design plan using the ADDIE process, managing timelines for SME review and input.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality control of instructional design work and deliver train-the-trainer sessions to prepare business unit and functional team trainers.
  • Training Support: Serve as a resource during training sessions, revise training based on feedback, and highlight risks and dependencies to the Training Lead.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Conduct knowledge transfer and transition activities to support sustainment within Enbridge’s learning organization.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Information and Learning Technologies, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of experience in training needs analysis, curriculum design, development, and evaluation for web-based, instructor-led, and on-the-job training.
  • Knowledge and experience in designing training material for Finance subjects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of adult learning theories, ADDIE principles, and program design strategies.
  • Proven ability to design and write course materials, activities, assessments, and job aids.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills with OCM Leads, training counterparts, Change Management Specialists, and SMEs.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Agility and initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with ERP projects or large transformation projects involving SAP, Maximo, and Oracle Cloud.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Finance Modules.
  • Experience in assessing training needs related to business process and system changes.
  • Understanding of end-user impacts and challenges with learning new applications.
  • Extensive experience with Articulate 360 (Storyline and/or Rise), PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with creating animated videos using Vyond, screen recordings with Camtasia, and video editing with ClipChamp.
