Instructional Designer (Contractor)

Design and develop training materials to support a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

12 month contract (possible extensions up to 36 months)

Pay rate=$40 to $50/hour (Depends on Experience)

Day Shift-flexible on remote work with managers approval

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and revise on-the-job (OJT), instructor-led (ILT) and web-based (WBT) training materials, including presentations, training guides, simulations, job aids, handouts, knowledge assessments, and skills assessments using latest instructional design models and practices.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and business leaders to understand subject complexities, determine objectives, and develop content.
  • Update training materials created by others with new information or process changes.
  • Evaluate/edit for formatting, flow, and educational effectiveness (continuous improvement).
  • Photograph and/or videotape operations and processes to supplement training.

Skills:

  • Strong communication, planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at the same time and meet commitments and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of and skill with standard and newest instructional design methodology (ADDIE, SAM).
  • Expert knowledge and application of eLearning development and design principles.
  • Clear technical writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop both technical and conceptual material for both large and small audiences in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven ability to create robust knowledge and skills assessments.
  • Expert level mastery of Articulate Storyline and Rise.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Familiarity with learning Management and File Management tools.
  • High level competency with Adobe tools.
  • Video editing skills (Captivate, etc.).
  • Experience creating training in a high-compliance industry preferred.

Education:

  • BS/BA required
  • Minimum 5 years Instructional Design experience in a business environment.
  • Industry certifications preferred.
