The Role
At Seequent, our goal is to enable our customers to work seamlessly throughout the lifecycle of their projects. To support them in being successful using Seequent products and services, we have dedicated teams creating new learning resources, best practice guides, knowledge base articles, application help material, and more.
We are looking for a geoscience (geophysics/geology/geotechnical) professional with strong writing skills to step into the Instructional Designer – Geoscience role within an existing instructional design and subject matter expertise team. Familiarity with and/or working knowledge of Seequent products would be a major asset.
As an Instructional Designer at Seequent, you will assist with the development of a world-class training experience for all users of the Seequent suite of products. Key functions of this role will be producing new e-learning courses designed to help our users efficiently and effectively use Seequent products to tackle their modelling and data management challenges, as well as updating the existing training content with every new software release.
This position sits within Seequent’s global Learning Experience team with individuals based in Europe and Canada. The team’s purpose is to help the organization grow and sustain competent usage of all Seequent applications by contributing to an accessible, interconnected ecosystem of Training, Help, and Support materials. The global Learning Experience team works alongside our Application Help technical writers and our Support teams to help equip our users with the knowledge they require to be proficient with the Seequent product suite. While conducting instructor-led training sessions will not be a focus for the Instructional Designer role, you will liaise with the front-line instructors in the regional Technical Services teams to gather insights and feedback they receive from customers regarding training materials.
You must be highly motivated, and customer focused. Offering an outstanding User Experience to anyone using Seequent software is the most important performance measure upon which your success will be measured.
