Overview

Job Description:

The Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating engaging and effective learning experiences for employees. This role involves designing and developing instructional materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, and other educational resources to support employee development.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create content that aligns with training priorities set by the L&D Manager and senior leadership.
  • Design and develop a variety of instructional materials, including e-learning modules, training manuals, and job aids.
  • Apply instructional design principles to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Develop assessments and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends in instructional design and technology to ensure training programs remain innovative and impactful.
  • Provide guidance and support to trainers and facilitators, sharing insights on instructional design best practices to ensure consistent, high-quality content delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Coordinator to meet technical requirements, ensuring all learning materials are optimized for both in-person and virtual formats.
  • Regularly review and update existing training content to ensure it meets current standards, industry trends, and organizational needs.
  • Document best practices, instructional design adjustments, and lessons learned in collaboration with the L&D team to improve future training programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in instructional design, preferably within a corporate or technical environment.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and LMS platforms (e.g., Workday).
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design models and adult learning principles.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm with overtime as needed.
