Empire State University is currently seeking a versatile Instructional Designer to provide their expertise in the development and revision of online courses and support the use of technology to enhance learning for SUNY Empire. The person in this role can select a specific job track but needs to have the skills of an instructional designer with a strong grasp of technology. This role will provide on-demand instructional technology and design consultation, guidance, and support to faculty using current research-driven learning design principles, instructional technologies, and best practices. The selected incumbent will provide training and support on a range of concepts, including but not limited to accessibility, assessment, copyright, and open educational resources (OERs) to faculty and students. This role will also include development of training materials and resources. The Instructional Designer will collaborate with a team of subject matter experts, instructional technologists, librarians, multimedia designers, and other instructional designers, and follow the established project management processes.

Rank/Salary: Instructional Support Technician, SL3 / $55,500-$60,000, dependent upon experience and qualifications.
