How can you make an Impact?

McGraw-Hill Education, the leading provider of digital and print educational materials is looking for a creative, innovative, strategic Instructional Designer for an Intervention program. You will be a valuable member of a collaborative group of Instructional Designers, closely partnering with teams focused on content, product management, UX, and creative media. As part of this team, you will create robust digital tools, curriculum and learning solutions in a variety of formats that are used by millions of educators and students every day. The Instructional Designer is a digital savvy content and curriculum expert, responsible and accountable for assembling high-quality content based on specific product requirements for an Intervention program.

It will be filled as a Project Status Worker (PSW) designation with the end date of 9/12/2025. This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

What you will be doing:

Using Instructional Design skills, you will:

  • Contribute to early product workstreams, POCs, and prototypes using design processes and tools
  • Use Universal Backwards Design to storyboard and develop curriculum assets like videos, eBooks, and interactive lessons
  • Participate in concept meetings, review manuscripts, and create storyboards for digital content

As a Content Author, you will:

  • Author digital tools, lead user testing, and mentor associate instructional designers
  • Manage digital build workflows through all stages of development, ensuring milestones are met

To ensure Quality Implementation, you will:

  • Advocate for accessibility and contribute to the product build process
  • Support cross-functional teams with vendor coordination, QA, troubleshooting, and technical requirements
  • Perform digital development tasks such as metadata tagging, concept mapping, and editing

What you need to be considered:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or related field required
  • 1 – 3years of experience working in digital content development that includes teaching and learning materials
  • Experience managing multiple projects within tight deliverables and budgets
  • Strong ability to communicate
  • Some experience with authoring tools, learning management systems, and content management systems
  • Some ability to create and visualize animated and interactive content

A successful candidate may have:

  • Previous K-6 teaching experience in Literacy
  • Experience in instructional design or educational technology

The pay range for this position is between $50,000 – $70,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.  Additionally, a full range of medical and/or other benefits may be provided, depending on the position offered.
