Our Instructional Designer reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Instructional Design. Together they create, design and facilitate training for Franchise Partners and managers which best helps improve operational excellence in Crumbl stores. Our Instructional Designer is responsible for educating, training, and reinforcing Crumbl’s best practices to course participants. Courses may be facilitated through webinars, digital classes and other live or in-person training. 

Instructional Designers may be required to complete additional research on topics outside of their expertise. This includes conducting outside assessment of information and also engaging/working with Internal team members that may be an expert in the field of the training topic.

This position requires working closely with the Sr. Manager of Instructional Design to ensure efficient and optimized instructional processes, as well as providing Franchise Partners and Managers with the knowledge that is necessary to become Corporate Certified. The Crumbl Instructional Designer is responsible for positively representing the brand at all times.

In addition to Franchise Partners, Instructional Designers may create, design and facilitate courses for internal Crumbl HQ teams. This may include courses focused on leadership development, team work, tough conversations and managing others. Courses may be focused on working within their teams but also for leading and guiding Franchise Partners and operators. Additional outside research to create this leadership content may be required. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Based on given curriculum, designs instructional courses and gives professional presentations on present and future Crumbl operations, processes, and requirements, under the direction of the Sr. Manager of Crumbl University
  • Design and conduct courses for Crumbl HQ teams, covering leadership, teamwork, difficult conversations, and management
  • Speaks dynamically to large audiences
  • Must be able to design presentations according to Crumbl’s branding standards and implement engaging activities
  • Maintains sensitivity with personal and store-related questions or potential conflict
  • Becomes an expert in knowledge for assigned presentations with topics including, but not limited to, scheduling, ordering, technology, leadership, operational intelligence, finance, marketing and business intelligence
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with individuals of all ages 
  • Receives and implements feedback from participants to maintain a developmental and engaging learning environment 
  • Trains on changes to all future Crumbl processes when applicable 
  • Communicates clearly and effectively on Slack, Google Suite, Monday Board 
  • Stays up-to-date on all announcements for Crumbl in both the Crew App and Slack 
  • Uses data from Crumbl resources to make decisions 
  • Prepares as necessary for the next day’s operations
  • Attends all team meetings
  • Uphold highest professional standards for rental cars and hotel visits
  • Responsible and proper use of Per Diem and other Corporate funds
  • Works more than 8 hours a day under the following conditions: travel days, conference days, conference preparation.
  • Some travel may be required depending on field needs for facilitating training courses or in an effort to research and create training materials

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Availability to travel up to 5 or more days at least once per month, if required
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of corporate training or educational experience 
  • Ability to navigate and operate multiple required software programs, including a proficient knowledge of slideshow software
  • Must work well collaboratively and independently with limited or no supervision
  • Excellent verbal communication and attention to detail
  • Excellent public speaking skills
  • Crumbl Experience preferred but not required
