OverviewWorks with the Director of Learning & Development and other key leaders to design and develop learning content for multiple modes of facilitation to drive execution, best practices, and transfer of knowledge. The goal is to create a world-class training curriculum by role organization-wide with a high focus on practice while maintaining a high standard of visual appeal.

Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the design and delivery of projects assigned based on organizational needs for instructor-led, remote, and web-based training. This includes:
    • Building and maintaining content for Learning Paths and Courses in our learning management system (LMS).
    • Creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances employee retention and transfer of knowledge to learners.
    • Partnering with various department subject-matter experts to create meaningful learning objectives and identify the target audience’s training needs prior to development of content.
    • Conducting instructional research and analysis on learners and context needed for various training programs and individual skill-based sessions.
    • Applying tested instructional design theories, practice, and methods to develop all core content built.
    • Developing all participant and facilitator materials assigned to ensure consistent delivery, look, and feel amongst training programs, with customization to the specific audience the content will be used to support.
    • Maintaining project documentation and folders to align other key members of the Organizational Development team.
    • Providing recommendations on criteria to evaluate the learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments.
    • Creating supporting material, media, exercises, and activities to enhance the learning process.
    • Build a common brand and language framework in collaboration with national, regional and local Leaders to provide a consistent caliber for training throughout the organization.
    • Partner and collaborate closely with Organizational leaders on each program or project assigned to ensure content delivered matches audiences’ needs.
    • Curate all available service and industry training content in clear and effective learning paths for the various employee skill levels ( e.g. Novice, Intermediate, Experienced).
    • Create and maintain solid relationships with all National, Regional and Local Leaders to support design development and solicit meaningful feedback.
    • Ability to effectively speak in front of groups in person and via conference call/videoconference, facilitate the conversation, and invite participation and discussion around program and content projects being completed.
    • Strong adaptability and flexibility skills to serve the various needs and intricacies that are needed for each region and department supported.
    • Ability to travel as needed to better understand the organization to reflect in content created-up to 20%.

Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in instructional design and working with instructional technology.
  • BS or MA in instructional design, educational technology, or similar Organizational Development focus.
